Eighteen swimmers including relay swimmers participated Short Course Far Western Championship at Morgan Hill last week April 8-11.  Weather wasn’t great for perfect performance, but our swimmers did so well.  Following are some highlights:

• Congratulation to Eric Lee , our only 1^st winner at Far Western, won the 1^st place in 11-12 boys 50 breast on Saturday with time (30.83).
• 11-12 boys relay team won 2^nd in both 200 Medley Relay and 200 yard freestyle relay.  Good job! Excellent job: Jordan Vega, Eric Lee, Steven Lau and Misha Galant.  
• Our young swimmers 10 & under boys 200 freestyle relay won 5^th place in 200 Freestyle.  Congratulation to Kevin Sui, Mars Lu, Andrew Nguyen & Alex Zhou).
• Kevin Cui, Boy, 10yr.  Made 6 finals in total 7 events.  And place 3^rd in both 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.  He swam 15 times oever the weekend with all personal best times, and still finished strong at the last day of the meet in 200 freestyle relay, (28.21 in 50 free). Wow!
• Jordan Vega made 4 finals in 200 IM, 200 back, and 50 free.
• Steven Lau swam in 400 IM (4’51”01) and 200fly (2’16”17) finals on the same day.  As you may know those two events are the hardest events in swimming.  He not only got both personal best in morning trails and finals at night, he also swim at 200 Freestyle relay which CDST won 2^nd place on the same day.   Incredible job done!
• Many others got their first experience swimming at high level swimming competition and got their personal best time as well.  

Over all, CDST team was ranked #14 with 87 points at Far Western, and 91 swim teams participated the event this year.    

Congratulations to all our swimmers again for such wonderful swims they did at 2010 short course Far Western Championship.  Thanks to all our parents for your support.
